His smile is contagious, giant, lovely and perfect. It is a wonderful window into the brilliance of his soul. Nolan is overflowing with enthusiasm, with courage, with excitement, with affection, with invention and curiosity. He charges into life head first, greeting everything new and familiar with refreshed, total, exuberant joy. Nolan attends one-on-one or small group classes throughout his day, geared towards developing a variety of skills, especially his communication and assistive technology skills. He uses an iPad application in combination with sign language to communicate. Nolan also receives physiotherapy services multiple times a week and he loves to demonstrate his strength--standing up independently or taking some steps in his AFOs.
